I had been given a gift last Christmas that was very unusual. I befriended our neighbor who just migrated from Italy to the United States. The couple gave us (the entire family) a brand new gift set of the glow in the dark bocce ball set they also had. I was shocked because those sets do not come cheap. Well, for me I appreciated the effort but I wasn’t sure how to play it.
So it was something that I kept for use some other time. But one day my neighbor asked if we wanted to play against them with a game of Bocce ball. So I said “you know what, I’m kind of busy today can we reschedule over the weekend?” our neighbor said “sure, we’ll be counting the days till the weekend okay?” So I thought I cannot make any other excuses. They wanted us to use the gift they gave us.
I was fretting that we might lose because we did not have any clue on how Bocce is played. I went over the internet and researched for “how to play Bocce” and got an answer, read the rules and regulations that was instructed. I relayed the information to all of my family members. The weekend came and it was time to show off the glow in the dark bocce ball set that was given to us by our neighbors. We basically understood how the game was played but never played it. They gave us a dry run of how the game works and it was exactly what was explained by the instruction. We enjoyed playing with our neighbors so much that now it is a weekly thing for us to play Bocce out in the backyard day in and day out.
